"Roots"- GCU Sings

Rules and Regulations

1. The competition will be conducted across seven genres: Jyoti Sangeet, Rabha Sangeet, Bhupendra Sangeet, Zubeen Sangeet, Folk, Classical, and Western Music.
2. Participants can choose up to three genre at the time of registration.
3. The competition will consist of an Audition Round followed by the Final Round.
4. Five candidates from each genre will be shortlisted in the audition to compete in the finals.
5. One “Best Singer” award will be presented in each genre. The event is Solo Singing only.No registration fee is required for participation. The maximum performance time is 5 minutes.
6. Participants must report 30 minutes before their scheduled performance. Basic hands-on music support will be provided; however, participants may also bring their own karaoke tracks or musical instruments or hands on if preferred.
7. Vulgar, offensive, or inappropriate songs are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
8. The judges’ decision will be final and binding. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the rules or disqualify participants in case of misconduct
